أجهزة ضبط الموضع - يتم تركيبها على صمام تحكم يعمل بالهواء المضغوط لزيادة كفاءته التشغيلية إلى أقصى حد من خلال ضمان وضع صمام معين بالنسبة إلى إشارة التحكم في الإدخال.
أجهزة التحكم - معدات أو برنامج داخل نظام تحكم يستجيب للتغيرات في القيمة المقيسة من خلال بدء تنفيذ إجراء تحكم للتأثير في تلك القيمة.
جهاز الاستشعار - في مصطلحات التحكم هو العنصر الذي يستجيب مباشرة لقيمة الحالة الخاضعة للرقابة.
