Identify and Control Legionella

Mitigate the Risk in Your Hospital

Protect patients, Staff and Visitors

Legionella is a potentially fatal illness caused by bacterial growth in water. The right conditions can create the perfect storm for a Legionella outbreak in a hospital. The bacteria can be found anywhere from hot water storage tanks to showers and birthing pools.

Hospitals are at risk of Legionella outbreaks as many collect and store hot water as they need to have a reliable and instant supply.

The most vulnerable of patients rely on the Facilities Management Team to provide a constant supply of hot, clean water within the hospital. Without them, the hospital would struggle to maintain the high levels of hygiene needed for patient safety.
