Application Engineer

Basic Duty & Responsibilities

• Selection, Design, Prepare conceptual P&ID and layout drawings, 2D & 3D and Develop applications that effectively accomplish client objectives and user specifications

• Provides technical support to Sales, Service and Customer service team

• Manage bid proposals, contractors, and vendors for all assigned projects

• Ensure all project technical requirements are captured on the project's bill of material and effectively manage project schedules and budgets

• Supervise and participate in all aspects of assigned projects from inception to commissioning including operations and maintenance turnover packages

• Properly and in time communicate with the reference sales engineer and the projects team in case of delay or unforeseen events affecting the deadline delivery

• Handling document control and after project execution supports

• Duly and professionally support, whenever required, all the entire from sales and service team requests providing technical support and expertise during the selling phase (pre and post sales)

• Be able to support marketing function of technical seminar, technical webinar / technical road show / event / online marketing (help desk)

• Assist the technical support to other functions for new products or applications.

• Additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.


Skills / Certifications

• Computer ability in Microsoft Office and Auto CAD required

• Proficiency in written and spoken English

• Own car with driving license

• Multi-tasking skills, independent and highly-responsible, proactive, Problem analysis skills and outstanding communication skills

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in application engineer or project engineer in similar industry. Experience in the valve industry would be advantageous to the applicants

• Well-understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001 will be advantage

• Good knowledge of Oracle and CRM will be advantage


Education required

Degree in Mechanical Engineer or related.
