Demand Planner

The Demand Planner will be under the Asia Distribution Centre (Asia DC) and will be overall in charge of Asia DC demand planning and inventory management. This role reports to the Distribution and Logistic Manager, APAC, supporting the team in analysis of demand, supply, lead time and cost reduction.

Core Responsibilities and Duties

Planning

• Overall in charge of Asia DC planning, ensure Asia DC keeps high level of stock availability to drive high customer service
• In charge of Asia DC IQM and OTTR to achieve service excellence
• Review DRP message to identify inventory place purchase order
• Define plan to resolve short- and long-term issues
• Purchase materials in most cost effective manner to replenishment
• Work with Order fulfilment team and Operating Companies to meet customer demand
• Supply Chain data analysis and reporting

Inventory Management

• Safety stock update in system
• Stock Aging and stock weekly management to meet target
• Inventory adjustment in E1
• Excess stock management to ensure excess stock reduction
• Cycle counting and stock accuracy
• Management sales at risk and surplus as set KPI
• Back up for Purchasing and Order Fulfilment team

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in planning and inventory management with supplier and third party contractor
• Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate and reason with people from diverse backgrounds
• Reading, writing and spoken English (fluent) – essential
• Good computer skills – Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Possess good planning, organisational and analytical skills
• Able to multi-task and data-oriented
• DRP/ERP competency, including planning, invoicing and payment process
• Experience in SAP, JDE is preferred
• Continuous improvement skills/methodologies

Education

• Minimum Bachelor or its equivalent, Technical knowledge of Supply Chain, Purchasing, Materials, Manufacturing, and/or related functions
• APICS, ISM training and certification preferred
