Regional Manager

Responsibility

  • To contribute to building of the business strategy and lead the implementation of the strategy 
  • To grow sales with targeted profitability within assigned region
  • To lead and develop the regional team
  • To produce 3 & 12 month forecast, using the planning templates.
  • To identify, plan and deliver business development initiatives
  • Maintaining relationships and business with existing customers
  • To report market trends to Management
  • Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions 
  • Arranging after-sales support services 
  • Preparing reports 
  • Supporting marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events 
  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet customers’ needs 
  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education 
  • Solving customer problems by solution selling

To be successful in this role:

  • You will need to have good communication skills
  • Flair for Sales and willingness to travel extensively
  • Have an aptitude to learn new products
  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships with key people / decision makers at customer’s end.

Requirements: 

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical or Control & Instrumentation streams 
  • Good knowledge of steam accessories and steam engineering
  • Around 20 years’ experience in steam related sales/service role, with 4-5 years in people management position.
  • Shall have handled the region and should have exposure in dealing directly with Customers in three or more of the following industry segments : Food & Beverage, Pharma, Chemical, Brewery, Textile, Plywood, Oil & Gas, Paper & pulp.
  • Should have exposure to direct selling to OEMs/EPCs/End-users & dealing with Engineering Consultants. Ideal would be handling 75% business through direct selling & 25% through distributors.
