A sight check is a combined sight glass and check valve. It is used to observe discharges from steam traps. The position of the ball check indicates whether or not condensate is flowing.

FT16 Ball Float Steam Trap
The FT16 is a 316 austentic stainless steel ball float steam trap with integral air venting facility. It is available with horizontal screwed connections. As an option a manually adjustable needle valve can be added for use as a steam lock release designated the FT16-C. If required the cover can be drilled and tapped 3/8" BSP or NPT for the purpose of fitting a drain valve.
