The 25E is controlled by an electric pilot valve. The main valve opens wide when the pilot is energized; it closes tight when the pilot is de-energized. The 25E does not modulate or throttle steam at part load.
The 1000 Series is a globe valve considered a high quality valve providing excellent sensibility, fine control and easy adjustment, with very reduced weight and size.
The 6A Air Vent has both a float and a thermostatic bellows for use where air, condensate and steam may be present (as in one pipe steam heating systems.) The 6A will discharge air, while preventing the escape of either condensate or steam. An outlet check valve prevents the re-entry of air.
These instructions relate to the use of the DP143 (Section 2.1) and DP163 (Section 2.2) pilot operated pressure reducing valves on steam applications but can be used as a guide when the valve is used on compressed air applications. The DP143G and DP163G are recommended for compressed air applications, both having a nitrile seal for the main valve and pilot valve assemblies.
LSB limit switch boxes are normally used for indicating valve open or valve closed position. They also allow switching points to be adjustable over the full range of actuators. There is an open/ closed valve position indicator mounted at the end of the switch box axis, at the top of the cover. LSB's include a stainless steel linkage kit for direct mounting to BVA300 series actuators.
Spirax Sarco Float & Thermostatic Steam Traps are ideally suited for most HVAC and process applications. The spherical stainless steel float automatically adjusts the position of the main valve so that condensate is discharged continuously at the same rate as it enters the trap.
This guide covers only a brief description of installation and maintenance for Spiratrol and QL valves.
The Stonel Limit Switch is for use with the K Series pneumatic control valves and PN5000/6000 actuators. It is mounted on the PN5000/6000 actuators and can provide visual indication if the valve is fully open, fully closed, partially open (0-100%) or partially closed (0-100%).
AEL7 series electric linear actuators are only suitable for the use on Spirax Sarco, Gestra and Hiter Valves.
The CA14 is a range of float type automatic liquid drainers for air and gas systems. The body and cover are of SG iron and the complete unit is readily maintainable. The standard version with a Viton valve cone is designated CA14. A stainless steel valve cone version is designated CA14S.
