The Spirax Sarco Pressure and Temperature Control Systems course is a hands-on study of pressure and temperature control systems including: on/off and modulating control loops, sensors and controllers and safety considerations. Specific topics that are discussed include bench setting, operation, troubleshooting, and repair of the full range of valve types including: direct/self-acting, plot operated, PN / EL actuated, ball valves and piston actuated valves.
Classroom instruction is reinforced with a hands-on session bench setting a control valve and pressure regulator on a live steam rig. Participants will also trouble shoot a typical control loop to determine the source of system malfunctions and how to implement corrective actions.
