what is it about?

A practical course designed to provide an overview of the requirements of INDG436: Safe Management of industrial steam and hot water boilers and BG01 Guidance on Safe Operation of Steam Boilers, in terms of risk assessments specific to the boiler house, the requirements of the legislation and a practical related activity using our boiler house.

Course objectives

  • By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
  • Understand the principles of risk assessment
  • Complete the risk assessment process
  • Know the definition of a competent person
  • Identify and know the requirements of INDG436 and associated legislation
  • Know the specific requirements for conducting a boiler house risk assessment
