Electromagnetic
Spirax Sarco electromagnetic flow meters measure all electrically conductive liquids with and without solids in the fluid including water, wastewater, slurries, chemicals, and even in mining applications.
The electromagnetic, or mag, flow meters require no maintenance, and are highly accurate and repeatable measurement without pressure drop making it the technology of choice for many applications.
Electromagnetic flowmeters require shorter straight runs than most flowmeter technologies and are offered as two models:
- UniMag - meters use a patented* Pulsed Hybrid technology, which provides a massive signal strength and high energizing frequency for excellent signal quality, with a unique auto-zero feature. The auto-zero feature virtually eliminates eddy currents at high exciter frequency for all size mag meters. The high signal strength and ability to measure low conductive liquids (>0.8 µS/cm) allows the UniMag to measure difficult fluids in applications like dredging and mining. No pressure drop and low maintenance makes the UniMag the ideal meter for liquid measurement.
- Magflo - electromagnetic flow meters offer important advantages such as, no pressure drop, no moving parts, high accuracy, and a wide variety of materials of construction. They have been successfully used in many industries, including food, beverage, chemical, paper & pulp, steel and water treatment.
