Spirax Sarco is honored with PVF Best Conversion to an Affiliated Supplier Award

Spirax Sarco has been recognized by Affiliated Distributors along with A&M Industrial Supply and Milwaukee Valves for the PVF Best Conversion Award for 2011. Spirax Sarco partnered with A&M Industrial Supply and Milwaukee Valves to develop a comprehensive engineering product solution to a major energy company, ConEdison in the aftermath of a catastrophic steam pipe explosion in midtown Manhattan in 2009. The combined efforts of all three companies lead to a safer NYC.

Spirax Sarco, A&M Industrial Supply, and Milwaukee Valves worked closely with ConEdison engineering and operations group as they collectively designed, engineered, and manufactured a number of brand new custom products weeks after the accident and helped to put the initial temporary fix as well as the custom design ultimate solution.

The three companies worked together to identify a design for a better product solution. This design and built process would undoubtedly provide over 1,000 fully assembled units to the customer totalling over $1 million dollars in sales.

Affiliated Distributors is a community of independent distributors and manufacturers of construction and industrial products. Spirax Sarco accepted the award at the “Spirit of Independence” Awards Banquet part of the AD Industrial Divisions’ North American Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada. The banquet recognizes and honors distributors and suppliers who achieved outstanding performance. This is the first time Spirax Sarco has been honored with this award.
