Title: Welder
Role: Position Summary: Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. Fits various pipe, plate and structural steel applications.

• High school diploma or equivalent with minimum of five years’ experience in piping and fitting.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading with ability to operate various welding machines.

Certifications Preferred/Required:
• Ability to pass ASME 6G preferred
• Valid drivers license required
• Must be able to pass forklift and walk behind certification test

Other Comments: Manual dexterity is important. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Responsibilities: Essential Functions/Responsibilities: These essential functions indicate the general nature/level of work expected of the incumbent. • Proficient in assigned welding techniques including GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and SMAW.
• Uses a Cutting Torch and other welding tools/machines proficiently.
• Preps pipe and plate for welding.
• Makes necessary Butt and Socket Welds in carbon and stainless steel; makes pipe fit ups; fabricates pipe spools, structural frames and holding tanks.
• Bolts up pipe work using wrenches and sockets.
• Hand or machine threads ½” to 2” Pipe.
• Reads 3D and dimensional 2D drawings to determine routing of pipe, layout for cuts and setting of equipment.
• Performs lead functions in the absence of the team leader.
