Account Executive - Midwest Region Chicago
Role:
Position Summary: Primary responsibility will be to operate an individual sales territory in a manner consistent with general business principles to yield profitable sales and sales growth. Responsibilities also include calling on end users, engineering consultants, the contractor segment and channels to market. Objective will be to increase Spirax Sarco's market share for new and existing products & services, meeting or exceeding annual sales and profit margin goals, and working towards all customers being repeat customers.
Experience/Education Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field; and three to five years outside sales experience selling a technical or industrial related product line; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate and reason with people from a diverse background.
• Proficiency in the field of instrumentation related to controls & metering is a plus as is knowledge in reading schematics and industrial plans.
• Good organization abilities are essential as well as focused attention to the customer’s voice.

• Develop, implement and monitor business plan for individual sales territory. Generate or exceed the required rate of sales activities in the area.
• Provide our users with the knowledge, service, product and Spirax Sarco initiatives which allow our customers to improve their steam system performance and increase their profitability.
• Demonstrate a track record of exceeding targets on a continual basis by selling Spirax Sarco initiatives to build strong customer relationships, yield customer loyalty and repeat sales.
• Identify and log all information in Spirax Sarco’s CRM database all potential steam users within the individual sales territory broken down by SIC, size and sales potential. Determine, in conjunction with the Regional Manager, the optimum breakdown of the area into individual sales sub-territories to achieve the optimum use of our limited and valuable sales time to obtain maximum return on our investment.
• Identify key accounts within individual sales territory, allocate sufficient time and resource to these accounts to develop a plan of attack and maximize SSI sales for each account. Develop and agree with manager a rolling CRM based plan to structure sales calls on specified focus and strategic growth accounts. Strive to service as much of the market as possible using traditional and developing Spirax Sarco sales methods. Generate and maintain standard Spirax Sarco CRM based Account Profiles for all focus accounts.
