Role:
Position Summary: Assists with sales activities to maintain and develop sales of Spirax Sarco, Inc. (SSI) product range to major accounts and specifiers in the appropriate territories in accordance with agreed regional business plans. Entry level position.

• Previous sales experience desirable.
• Competent in business writing.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret construction prints and specifications.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:These essential functions indicate the general nature and level of work expected of the incumbent. • Assists the sales force with take offs, bids, quotations, and submittals using appropriate industry websites and recording information in the project tracking system.
• Provides customer and sales support assistance with both commercial and technical issues. Serves as the liaison between the sales force and other SSI departments. May assist with taking basic order information before submitting to the Inside Sales Department. Responds to simple technical questions.
• Assists sales personnel, distributors, and end-users to ensure order accuracy, proper order flow in the right time frames, and timely submittals, and meets promised delivery commitments on complicated and/or critical orders.
• May serve in the role of an “account executive”, setting appointments within a specific account base. Up sells SSI products/services to customers as appropriate.
• Uses, supports and assists with improving the computerized customer and prospect database.
• Plans and carries out direct marketing activities (mainly direct mail) to targeted market segments in conjunction with the sales force. Obtains and supplies appropriate literature as requested.
• Maintains quote log for and follows up on sales inquiries sent to the region’s independent manufacturer’s representatives.
• Conducts competitor information and customer satisfaction surveys within the region. Researches the marketplace to ensure that SSI is aware of changes and current practices among competitors and within the market.
• Assists Regional Manager with various monthly reports and information requests. Provides relevant management information using various reporting programs.
• Must demonstrate and support SSI’s Core Values.
General:Accountable and responsible for all safety and environmental compliance as it relates to the position. Demonstrates knowledge of general safety, security, and environmental regulations.
