Plant Services Support Technician
Role:
Position Summary: Receive customer service calls and determine if a service tech visit is required. Assist with the co-ordination of service tech schedules, product & safety training. Provide technical support for the plant service techs and customers pertaining to proposals, scheduling and billing. Make S.E. regional service calls as required.

• Good knowledge of steam and fluid systems; good knowledge of mechanical, controls and instrumentation products.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions/Responsibility: These essential functions indicate the general nature/level of work expected of the incumbent. • Work with the regional service techs to develop their schedule / calendar for effective use of their time.
• Man the service call line and determine the actions required to satisfy the customers’ requirements.
• Provide technical packets of pertinent information for each service visit including but not limited to: Site contact information, technical manuals, suggested tools required, Equipment Data, Customer safety requirements prior to the service tech visiting the Job site location.
• Work with the sales team to generate service proposals and assist with scoping of scheduled maintenance contracts.
• Arrange bi-monthly product and safety training for service techs.
• Travel approximately 30% of the time to provide service tech duties and project scoping for schedule maintenance projects.
General: Accountable and responsible for maintaining Service Tech scheduling, safety & product training. Demonstrates a technical knowledge of the range of Spirax Sarco Products and field instrumentation devices.
