What does BG01 mean for you?The "Guidance on Safe Operation of Boilers" (BG01), published in October 2011 replaces the now withdrawn PM5 and PSG2 guidance documents. Drafted by the Combustion Engineering Association (CEA) and the Safety Assessment Federation (SAFed) and with the full endorsement of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), BG01 is a best practice guide for boiler managers and operators. BG01 should be used in conjunction with the HSE's "Management of Industrial and Hot Water Boilers" (INDG436). BG01 affects any facility with an industrial or commercial steam and hot water boiler operating between 0.5 and 32 bar gauge and at a temperature between 110°C and 400°C. | ||
