Course Details: Who will benefit?
Staff who are involved with the maintenance and installation of steam systems.

Objectives:
To provide a basic knowledge of steam and condensate systems and maintenance procedures for steam traps, condensate pumps and pressure reducing valves.

Note: Previous experience of steam is helpful, but not essential. Students will benefit by first taking the Steam Utilisation correspondence course.

Delegates will learn about:

  • The fundamentals of steam systems

  • Good installation practices

  • Maintenance of steam systems

  • Improving installations for fault avoidance



This course can be undertaken as part of a Pearson BTEC (formerly Edexcel) Certificate.
