Who will benefit?
Plant engineers and those responsible for the selection and efficient operation of pressure and temperature controls, primarily in steam systems, although liquid systems will be discussed.
Objectives:
To provide delegates with a basic understanding of pressure and temperature control, with emphasis on selection and application rather than pure theory.

This course can be undertaken as part of a Pearson BTEC (formerly Edexcel) Certificate.

Delegates will learn about:
- Different types of pressure and temperature controls - direct acting, pilot operated, electric and pneumatic actuation
- Types of controllers, signals, sensors, actuators and positioners
- Valve selection and sizing
- Types of applications for each type of control arrangement
- Note: Good technical knowledge is needed. Students will benefit by first taking the Automatic Controls correspondence course.
