Who is it for?
Those involved with the maintenance and installation of steam systems and those wishing to obtain a recognised maintenance based steam accreditation.
What is it about?
This course provides delegates with the basic knowledge and practical skills necessary to assess your competence and knowledge based on the City & Guilds syllabus.
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
Understand the fundamentals of steam systems
Demonstrate good installation practices
Demonstrate fault finding through practical experience
Maintain steam traps, pressure reducing valves, condensate pumps and other ancillary equipment
Have an understanding of basic boiler house maintenance - feedwater treatment and burners
Times: The course starts 9:00am on Monday and finishes at 4:45pm on Thursday.
The course is assessed by multiple choice test paper and practical assessment. Spirax Sarco is accredited by The City & Guilds of London Institute as the sole approved test centre for Module 13 - Steam Plant Maintenance. Delegates will take practical and written tests.
