Component Descriptions

Part Component Function
1 Electronic Controller to signal the control valve to move position
2 Air Regulator to supply the positioner with air at the correct pressure
3 Isolation Valve to isolate the installation from the steam supply
4 Separator to protect the installation from wet steam
5 Strainer to protect the control valve from detritus
6 Hi-limit Control Valve to protect the installation from overtemperature
7 Pressure Reducing Valve to reduce pressure to the system
8 Pressure Gauge to monitor the reducing valve set pressure
9 Isolation Valve to allow the reducing valve to be set on no load
10 E/P Positioner to position the valve correctly at all loads
11 Pneumatic Actuator to drive the control valve
12 Safety Valve to protect the downstream equipment from overpressure
13 Pressure Gauge to monitor the heat exchanger supply pressure
14 Isolation Valve to isolate the air vent & vacuum breaker from the steam supply
15 Vacuum Breaker to assist condensate removal from the heater at stall conditions
16 Air Vent to vent air from the heat exchanger steam supply
17 Plate Heat Exchanger to heat the secondary fluid from steam in the primary circuit
18 Hi-limit Sensor to sense the secondary water for overtempertaure
19 Hi-limit Cut Out to close the hi-limit valve shut on overtemperature
20 Control Valve to regulate the flow of steam to the heat exchanger
21 Temperature Sensor to sense the secondary water for temperature
22 - 27 inc. Separator Steam Trap Set
28 - 33 inc. Heat Exchanger Steam Trap Set
34 Pressure Gauge to monitor the steam supply pressure
35 Isolation Valve to isolate the secondary flow from the heat exchanger
36 Isolation Valve to isolate the secondary return from the heat exchanger
