Component Descriptions

Part Component Function
1 Isolating Valve to isolate the heat exchanger from the secondary circuit
2 Isolating Valve to isolate the heat exchanger from the secondary circuit
3 Strainer to protect the circulating pump from detritus
4 Circulating Pump to prevent boiling within the secondary water system
5 Plate Heat Exchanger to remove the heat from the blowdown water
6 Drain Valve to drain the secondary system for maintenance purposes
7 Temperature Sensor to start the secondary pump during blowdown times
8 Pressure Gauge to monitor the flash vessel pressure
9 Flash Vessel to distribute the flash and high pressure blowdown
10 Safety Valve to protect the system if the flash line blocks
11 Vacuum Breaker to prevent back-syphoning of the feedtank water
12 Distribution Head to efficiently eject the flash steam into the tank
13 Ball Float Steam Trap to allow the blowdown water to drain to the heat exchanger
14 Drain Valve to drain the flash vessel for maintenance purposes
15 Strainer to protect the float trap from detritus
16 Isolating Valve to isolate the heat exchanger from the flash vessel
