A little time with Spirax Sarco at ACHEMA 2018 can make a big difference to process performance
Spirax Sarco reveals innovative steam and thermal energy solutions at ACHEMA 2018 on 11 - 15 June 2018 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany
By spending just minutes with Spirax Sarco at Achema 2018, visitors will be able to discover innovative ways to reduce their steam and thermal energy costs. The Spirax Sarco team will use its expertise in processing and experience in the chemicals, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals and the food and beverage sectors to advise organisations how to:
- Reduce their energy and water bills and cut emissions with sustainable energy solutions
- Reduce product contamination risks, increase product quality and protect their brand reputations by focusing on steam quality
- Improve steam system safety and reliability, while also raising productivity, through a range of monitoring and measurement products and services.
Displays on the Spirax Sarco stand (K62, Hall 8.0) cover each of these three areas. Spirax Sarco experts will be on hand to give visitors the insight they need to understand how the solutions can help them improve their process productivity and save costs.
New solution for recovering waste heat
A focus for Spirax Sarco is the development of its Controlled Phase Cycle (CPC) solution that can recover useful energy from low-grade (less than 100°C) waste heat produced by many industrial processes and buildings. Conventional systems are unable to recover this heat economically. CPC is a new technology that overcomes the problems of transforming low-grade heat to give companies a new opportunity to generate electricity and reduce their energy costs substantially.
Spirax Sarco’s Professor Jeremy Miller, Group Research Manager, will present the CPC technology in detail on 14 June at 11:30 - 12:00 during the ACHEMA Congress PRAXISforums.
Advances in steam trap monitoring saves energy and boosts productivity
Spirax Sarco will also be presenting its pioneering steam trap management system, both on its stand and at the PRAXISforums on 14 June at 12:10 - 12:30. The solution uses STAPS wireless automation to fine-tune a predictive maintenance model that enables businesses to prioritise steam trap maintenance during scheduled windows to eliminate unnecessary production downtime and save energy. The wireless technology costs less to install and is more flexible than wired monitoring systems.
ACHEMA PRAXISforums focus on industrial applications, trends, new products and services in chemical engineering, biotechnology and the process industries. Held every three years ACHEMA is the world forum for chemical engineering, process engineering and biotechnology. In 2018, the show is expected to attract around 3,800 exhibitors and 167,000 participants from more than 100 countries.
